ABOUT ME
I grew up in a tight-knit family in the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, India. My mother, the anchor of our family and my role model, instilled in me the importance of compassion, independence and pursuing my dreams, even if they fell outside the realm of traditional gender roles. As a child, I was encouraged to keep learning, solve problems and challenge the status quo — something that shaped my persona and continues to drive me. Growing up with a mindset like this, naturally, I took unexpected paths in life. I became an IT Engineer, and ultimately got my Masters in Management and Systems from New York University. |
At NYU, I took on multiple leadership roles. As an international student myself, I became the voice of other students and made our concerns heard by the University. My work in student advocacy earned me an International Student Service Award, while my work to highlight and celebrate cultures across the world at NYU won me the President’s Service Award in 2016. I also had the honor of being the Graduate Class Speaker and Valedictorian for the class of 2017. |

Since graduating, I have worked across multiple industries, including software, marketing and healthcare. Today, I serve as the Practice Director of Bug Bounty Services at NCC Group North America. I enjoy the challenges that come with working in an ever-developing field like cybersecurity, and am well aware that it can get a little intense sometimes. I find comfort and inspiration in the beauty of the natural world and I travel extensively to rejuvenate myself and keep doing my best work. |
As a woman in a typically male-dominated field, gender equality and representation, in, and outside of the workforce is an issue close to my heart. As a leader in my field, I always strive to utilize my position to open doors and create opportunities to help women in my networks. As for what’s next, I hope to continue providing excellent service to my clients, help uplift and empower women and keep on traveling, exploring and learning about cultures across the world. |
